Lutheran Church of the Resurrection (LCR) is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
LCR’s story began in November 1979, when 28 faithful people gathered for worship in a small storefront along East Lake Road. United by a shared vision of establishing a Lutheran presence in the growing Palm Harbor community, those founding members laid the foundation for a congregation built on faith, fellowship, and service. As God continued to bless their ministry, the congregation grew, and in February 1983 the construction of the current church home was completed, providing a permanent place where generations have gathered to worship, celebrate, grieve, learn, and serve together.

Our Vision Statement: A vibrant community growing in faith and passionately doing God's work.

This church belongs to Christ.
We live as partners accountable to Him.
At the center of our life together is worship where God gathers us, feeds us, teaches us, and sends us to share His grace.
We seek to draw closer to Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
God calls us to share his boundless love and bring healing, hope, and strength to the world. We count ourselves blessed to be part of God's ongoing work of creation and ask God to show us where we can do more.
Our relationships with each other and with God's world are important to us.
We are committed to rolling up our sleeves and getting to work.
We are an ELCA congregation deeply rooted in Grace, Word, and Sacrament.
"Our faith is a living, busy, mighty thing." - Martin Luther
Our pastor, council and church staff are a dedicated team doing the work of ministry, as God leads and directs the many hands who serve our congregation and community. Our pastor leads worship, preaches, teaches, and walks alongside us through seasons of joy and struggle. Our council oversees the planning, mission and the life and activities of the congregation. Our office administrator and office volunteers tend to the daily life of the congregation – greeting visitors, coordinating programs and supporting our church family in many ways.
Current Council Members: Maureen Adamson, Tari Carr, Janet Schellenberger, Suzanne Whipple, Nancy Pettygrove, Lisa Fritz and Liz Doten
